English Touring Opera's The Wish Gatherer will explore the impact of climate change on the natural world, in an entertaining curriculum-linked adventure story.

The story follows Lola, a young girl struggling with the effects on her world after COVID, her parent’s recent divorce and the climate crisis.  Join Lola on her journey, and meet the magical Wish Gatherer, the mysterious and dark Muddier, the disenchanted bee, Bumbella, and the enterprising Seed Planter, in this story of beauty, loss, revolution, and new beginnings.  

Woven into this story are Key Stage 2 national curriculum links, including learning about the process of seed germination and historical figures such as scientist Ingeborg Beling, and environmental activist, Wangari Maathai.

Filled with catchy songs, participatory moments, an ingenious set and props, and even Tai Chi, The Wish Gatherer is fun for all the family
